High CPAP vs. NIPPV:
A retrospective cohort study

There are very limited data comparing NIPPV and high levels of CPAP (≥9 cmH2O) and their relative impact on clinical outcomes. In one of the first studies on this, we compared failure of High CPAP vs NIPPV in a retrospective cohort study. We found no differences in outcomes, supporting our hypothesis that high CPAP may be equivalent to NIPPV.
